Wound, our first full length, "came together" very last minute. While it wasn't our final disastrous recording experience, it was certainly the most hectic. Seven out of the ten songs on the album were written between one week before and two months before we actually recorded. When the time to record came, a miscommunication in recording expectations led to a sub-par entire first day of recording, all of which was scrapped. So, under-rehearsed and short on time, primary tracking to every song on Wound was done in one day. Both electric guitars and drums were recorded live, with bass done as an over-dub.

Though we certainly believe these songs could've sounded better with a different recording approach and more time, the album does a perfect job of reflecting exactly how it felt to record. It's very fast (some songs lost anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute between demo-ing and final recording), very rough, there's a lot of feedback, there are plenty of errors in playing that were left in just so we could be done recording, and it's very very loud with guitars really loud (a reflecting of us not having a permanent drummer or bassist at the time).
